Forty-five years ago, Mötley Crüe introduced themselves to the world with a record that was raw and unapologetic and launched one of rock's most notorious and enduring careers.

The 45th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set includes the holy grail for all fans, the original Leathür Records version of the album. This rare version has a different mix and tracklist. Also included is the Elektra Records 1982 version, the legendary never-before-released 1982 Perkins Palace live shows, their first-ever studio session in March 1981, demo session along with a reproduction of their original 7" single and demo cassette. Plus, a 100-page 12"x12" hardback photobook featuring many never-before-seen or published photos from band confidants Don Adkin and Kevin Estrada, as well as photos of rare memorabilia from 1981, including a replica of their early press kit, lyric book, poster and bumper sticker.

This is the Crüe playing it lean and mean, effortlessly capturing the tough swagger that often came off a bit more calculated in later years, and it's one of their most invigorating records.
-Steve Huey, AllMusic, 4/5
