With his stunning fourth Blue Note album, The Myth We Choose, the brilliant South African pianist, composer, healer, and philosopher Nduduzo Makhathini explores the ways in which various societies choose their own myths through song. The album, which was co-produced by his son Thingo Makhathini, refracts Makhathini's distinctive sound through a broad spectrum of sonic settings with bassist Dalisu Ndlazi and drummer Lukmil Perez, plus collaborators including Black Coffee, Shabaka, Omagugu, Thando Zide & Muneyi.
