25th Anniversary Limited Edition Translucent Blue Vinyl!
Mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios!
In 2001, The North Mississippi Allstars unleashed their highly acclaimed second album 51 Phantom. Originally on Tone-Cool Records, the album was recorded and produced by Jim Dickinson (The Byrds).
The soulful rockin' blues album found early success on the US Billboard charts (#20 on the Independent Album Chart). 51 Phantom was also nominated for a Grammy® Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards, a major feat for a this incredible album and band.
Featuring brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson, along with Chris Chew, the power trio delivers some of the finest deep south rock, blues and soul sounds with great fare like "Mud," "Circle in the Sky," "Sugartown," plus a great reading on The Staple Singers' "Freedom Road."
Friday Music is pleased to announce the return of 51 Phantom by North Mississippi Allstars, and its first-time-ever vinyl release. To celebrate 25 years of this amazing album, Friday Music will be pressing it on super limited translucent blue vinyl and it will also be featured in a first time LP cover presentation.
Produced by Jim Dickinson (The Byrds) and mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (The Byrds/The Band) at Friday Music Studios, 51 Phantom will be one of the most important rock album releases this year.
