A collection of some of Paco De Lucia's inspiring Montreux Jazz Festival live performances! The Montreux Years is released on 2LP heavyweight vinyl and it includes brand new liner notes, as well as rare photos from his Montreux shows.

The Montreux Years is a Montreux Jazz Festival and BMG collection series. The collections uncover legendary performances by the world's most iconic artists alongside rare and never-before-released recordings from the festival's rich 55-year history, remastered in superlative audio. Each collection is accompanied by exclusive liner notes and previously unseen photography.

The recordings are sensitively mixed and dynamic, with good spatiality and sharp imaging. The sound of each venue is clearly differentiated from one another, reflecting the unique acoustics of space and the changing ensemble of musicians over the years. The surfaces of the heavy vinyl tracked smoothly and pristinely quiet... these recordings represent a rich remembrance of a stellar talent to whom every contemporary flamenco player owes a debt of gratitude.
