Psychoderelict is a concept album written, produced and engineered by Pete Townshend. Some characters and issues presented in this work were continued in Townshend's later opus, The Boy Who Heard Music, first presented on The Who's 11th studio album, Endless Wire (2006) and then adapted as a rock musical. This "Music Only" version is without dialogue and available for the first time on vinyl.
This 2 LP set is pressed on 180g black vinyl and engineered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using a half-speed mastering technique which produces a superior vinyl cut.
A fine collection of Pete Townshend music! Each time you put on a new side, you're hearing the start of a new sequence of music that creates its own universe. To that point, I think Psychoderelict: Music Only benefits greatly from its new 2LP formatting, as its 15 songs clock in at a little over 63 minutes...Definitely worthy of your attention.
