40th Anniversary Edition 180g Audiophile Vinyl LP!
Numbered, Limited Edition Crystal Clear Vinyl - 2,500 Copies!

Philip Glass is an American composer. His music is considered to be minimal music, although he himself uses the term "theater music."

Glassworks was originally released in 1982. The album is a six-part chamber music work by Philip Glass. After his larger-scale concert and stage works, Glassworks was Philip Glass's successful attempt to create a more pop-oriented "Walkman-appropriate" work, with significantly shorter and more accessible pieces written for the recording studio. In fact, the cover of the cassette release stated that it was "mixed especially for your personal cassette player."

Glassworks is available as a 40th anniversary edition of 2,500 individually numbered copies on crystal clear colored vinyl.

Glassworks is the most pleasant craftwork ever from the great minimalist exploiter - six warm pieces that approach the spirit of minimalist pioneer Erik Satie... Glassworks is tuneful in the most pleasingly direct sense - the arrangements define the melodies so cleanly they're instantly memorable. In addition, the album is programmed with a particular shape in mind. It's kind of a waveform, where every other relaxed melody is upset by a classic Glass rush...
