The Pointer Sisters' sophomore album, That's a Plenty, was released in 1974 containing the country-western track "Fairytale". This hit was found on both the country and pop charts and resulted in the group trio being the first black female group to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Fairytale also won them their first Grammy Award in 1975 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.
