Founded in 2000, Steep Canyon Rangers has released 9 solo albums, as well as 2 full-length collaborations with actor/banjoist Steve Martin. They have also collaborated with Sara Watkins, Esparanza Spalding, Edie Brickell, & more…

Their albums have debuted four times at #1 on the US Bluegrass charts and have been nominated for 2 Grammy Awards (winning Best Bluegrass Album in 2012 for Nobody Knows You).

Their 2018 release, Out In the Open, was produced by the Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Henry.
