The four-track collection is a love letter to beloved alternative rock and indie songs from the nineties and early aughts. A member of Rolling Stone's 2025 Future of Music class, Stephen Wilson Jr. offers his take on Nirvana's "Something in the Way," "Hunger Strike" (Temple of the Dog), "Clark Gable" (The Postal Service) and "Tonight, Tonight" by the Smashing Pumpkins.

About his moving interpretation of lead track "Something in the Way," Wilson Jr. explains: "I used to listen to this song 100 times a day. There was 'something in the way' it was recorded. Kurt sang it laying down on his back, not an easy thing to do. It's magic. There's also something in the way that he transported this hillbilly kid from southern Indiana to Seattle, Washington."
