Steve Winwood was once considered the 'wonder boy of British blues.' He joined the Spencer Davis Group at the age of 15 and then went on to help form the supergroups Blind Faith and Traffic. After a self-imposed 'low profile existence', Winwood emerged in 1977 to release an impressive first solo effort, Steve Winwood. Songs such as Vacant Chair, Let Me Make Something In Your Life, Hold On, and Time Is Running Out, demonstrate the classic Winwood talent for writing and interpreting.
Steve Winwood also maintains the overall polished atmosphere found in Winwood's previous work with Traffic. Steve Winwood was released in 1977 by Island Records and produced by Steve Winwood and Chris Blackwell in association with Mark Miller Mundy.
