One Of TAS' Ten Best Rock Albums of 2020!
The 4th studio album by The Doors was released in 1969. Mostly recorded following a grueling tour leaving them no time to compose new material, producer Paul A. Rothchild recommended a departure from the Doors' first three albums. He urged them to develop a fuller sound by using brass and string arrangements provided by Paul Harris. Robby Krieger's creative output increased since Morrison was focusing on his poetry and dealing with personal issues.
The album peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 20. The album features the singles "Touch Me", "Wishful Sinful", and "Tell All the People".
