Several decades after his childhood hangouts in famed Belfast record store Atlantic Records, Van Morrison revisits his love of the genre with his 2023 album Moving on Skiffle. Launching with lead single "Streamline Train," the 23-track album takes a homemade style that exploded across Britain in the mid-1950s and infuses it with sophistication, soulfulness, and an underlying message on the importance of freedom and living on your own terms, his lifetime philosophy.

Van has revisited the songs from the Golden Age of Skiffle. He has revisited, rewired, readdressed and rearranged with this project. Listen to these gems that originated in the days when songs were passed on from family to family, father to son, mother to daughter. Van now passes the baton to us so that his new take on these old classics can be enjoyed again, re-crafted by Van.
