Wilshire is the singer-songwriter duo Lori and Micah, who met as session players in Nashville. Texas native Lori and Virginian Micah knew their solo careers were over the first time they sang harmony together. Local gigs playing covers gave way to collaboration on originals. Soon they packed up their belongings and drove to L.A. After months of honing their material on the West Coast's open-mic and college circuits they landed at Columbia records. Their melodic Pop-Rock sound is influenced by the Beatles, classic soul and Top 40 Pop. Both Lori and Micah write, sing and play guitar.
Their brand of Adult/Pop/Rock with a "southern grit" has been compared to the likes of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The songs showcase their amazing sense of harmony and their talents as incredible musicians.
Their Columbia Records debut album, New Universe, which they co-produced with David Tickle (U2, Prince), was recorded at L.A.'s Sunset Sound in Sherman Oaks and at Avalon in Kauai, Hawaii. The album was mixed by Joe Zook at Eldorado in Burbank.
Album includes the hit single "Special," produced by Wilshire and mixed for radio by Tom Lord-Alge, a driving track with an expansive chorus that showcases the pair's soaring harmonies. Its yearning theme arose from the many part-time jobs that helped pay their bills while they tried to "make it" in L.A. "We needed some 'looking for a hallelujah' thing to keep us going, something special to hold on to," explains Lori. "The words that song are about finding your purpose, finding freedom and joy."

2. Turn it Around
