Yes is among the longest lasting and most successful of the ’70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band.

Yes Tales From Topographic Oceans 180g 2LP

Another great experience with Elusive Disc. This double disc album from Yes was packaged well, shipped right away, and received in perfect condition. This has been my typical experience with albums purchased from ED so far. The album: well, if you're a Yes fan then you already know as much or more than me about their discography. I've always liked this album (not like Close to the Edge or Relayer, but...). I don't have an original to compare it with, but this 2016 US release sounds as good or better than streaming it from Tidal hi-res. The gatefold is sturdy and well made, easy to slide in/out the discs that came in an okay paper/poly sleeve. The color illustrations are beautiful and vibrant. After an initial clean both discs were played through. No pops, skips, or static noise at all (I do use an anti-static gun before playing albums). The vinyl itself is very quiet -no obvious noise. Overall the album sounds dynamic, balanced, and engaging to me.
