Written at the peak of their career, XXXX would become their most mature and ambitious, (and, in hindsight, heart-wrenching) release. Winner of the Western Canadian Music Award for Best Rock Album of the year and longlisted for the coveted Polaris Music Prize, the album has been remastered by Troy Glessner at S.P.E.C.T.R.E. with new artwork from guitarist Derek Adam.

YSP!WSD! have similarly overhauled themselves for XXXX. Comfortable now on gentle, prettily sung slow-burners like 'Heart of Gold' as well as on throttling, thickly percussive barnburners like 'Cosmic Wanship Avengers,'' YSP!WSD! have made something unexpectedly tender out of darkly colored and often heavily propulsive material.
