Best known as the lead singer of the Box Tops and Big Star, Alex Chilton's greatest success was in his earliest days. His commercial success in his teen years with The Box Tops was never repeated. Big Star music was revived in 1998 when That '70s Show chose to use "In the Street" as the theme song, which was written by Chilton and Chris Bell of Big Star.
