Who knew you could turn a stutter into a hit song? The brothers Randy and Robin Bachman of the successful 1970's Rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive certainly didn't expect to make one of the biggest hits and Golden Oldies with their famous stammering on "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet".
The song was meant as a joke for their brother Gary and they would usually use it as a 'work song' to get the amps & mics set up properly in the studio. But when it was released as the single for their 1974 album Not Fragile a pun on Yes' hit record it went to the top of the charts and embedded itself in Rock history.
Not Fragile shows BTO at their best, both in terms of songwriting and playing. Raucous guitar duels, counter-solos, prominent but not over-heavy drumming; they all contribute to the appeal of this number 1 album. A must-have in any Rock lover's collection!
