In celebration of Bjork's mid-career retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the release of the Bjork: Archives book, One Little Independent is reissuing the Bjork vinyl back catalogue, and for an exclusive period the vinyl will be colored to the hue that personifies that album character. Volta's character is wanderlust activist shaman feminist justice confrontational reactable brass tribal beats red neon green electric blue flags trumpets fire anthropology tribes boats bombastic neon green and orange.
Bjork's Grammy-nominated sixth full-length studio album features brass instruments for almost all of the songs. Three tracks were co-produced by R&B record producer Timbaland. Volta spent nine weeks at number one on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart and in the first three months of release sold over half a million copies worldwide.
