The M2TECH Young DSD is a very high resolution digital-to-analog converter with extremely high value-for-money, capable of handling PCM up to 384/32 and DSD up to x128!

A High resolution DSD/DXD digital-to-analog converter, the Young DSD features an USB Audio Device Class 2 interface to transfer high resolution audio from every computer. Legacy S/PDIF, AES/EBU and optical inputs are also provided which handle both PCM (up to 192/24) and DSD64.

The Young DSD inherits the old Young’s proprietary oversampling scheme for PCM based on a FPGA (field programmable gate array). A 32 bits D/A integrated circuit is used in a non-conventional mode to allow for 705.6/768kHz internal operation in PCM and 5.6448MHz in DSD. The synergy between the DAC IC and the custom oversampler allows for exceptionally low noise floor and THD. A high resolution analog volume control IC with digital control is used. To avoid inserting too many stages on the signal path which would reduce the sound quality, a unique passive anti-alias filter is used in place of the usual opamp buffer, together with a special current mode offset cancellation circuit which makes I/V converter operate with greater symmetry and lower THD.

Output voltage can be set by the user to suit the needs of any device downstream the Young DSD, be it a preamplifier, a high sensitivity solid state power amplifier or a low sensitivity tube power amplifier. Both balanced and single ended (using the stock adaptors) outputs are available. A full-loaded remote control allows user to easily operate the Young DSD from the sweet spot. HID protocol is also enabled over USB, allowing user to control the computer player with the dedicated keys on the remote control.

"The M2Tech combo's performance had seduced me—where I usually return to the Benchmark once I've done my critical listening to any DAC I'm reviewing, this time I left the Young and Palmer in the system until the morning I had to ship them out. I didn't want to let them go. Great sound at what I consider a very reasonable price... the M2Tech Young is clearly worth trying in your system." - Jon Iverson, Stereophile Magazine Class A Recommended Component

"I don't want to own and enjoy just the best performance of each of my favourite works, I want to own and enjoy them all. The new Young DSD DAC brings me one step closer to being able to do that. The fact that I can finally listen late at night at reduced volume levels without suffering from digital attenuation induced paranoia gives me the same warm glow as my favourite bottle of aged Appleton Estates Rum, and that's a profound contribution to my musical enjoyment. The Young DSD is a shoe-in for me. I love the feature set, I trust the brand, the pricing is as always highly competitive and the sound quality is as good as anything I've heard. If you're getting itchy feet, or maybe wondering how much better your current DAC could sound late at night at lower listening levels then it's probably time for you to arrange a demo." - Pink Fish Media

"Delivering PCM resolutions up to 32/384, DXD, 64x and 128x DSD, while acting as a digital preamp, the Young DSD DAC is a very capable package. I found its sound to be at once forgiving without sounding overly dark offering up a rich and rewarding sonic palette. The Young DSD DAC is like a comfy sofa of sound, inviting you in to stay as long as you'd like and play whatever music suits your mood. I count these qualities as being among the all-good variety." - AudioStream

Van der Graaf is a very high performance, very low noise power supply suitable to power all M2Tech products!

Thanks to its comprehensive outputs set and the settable output voltage for some outputs, user can power every M2Tech product, from 9V Evo units to 15V products like Young DSD and Joplin ADC, to the high-power Marley. The Van der Graaf's very low output noise (comparable to that of a Li-Ion battery), even at rated load, allows for incredibly silent sonic background and finest detail resolution, markedly improving every powered product's performance. Fault-proof robustness is achieved by solid-state, automatically resettable fuses (polyswitch). In order to optimize the powering sequence of the units connected to the Van der Graaf, the user can program the activation sequence of the used outputs.
