The 1973 album Moontan contains Golden Earring's most notable radio hit "Radar Love". The song was rated by music critic Bill Lamb's 'top 10 driving songs' due to its lyrics about driving all night and the up-tempo beat. The single version reached #13 in the US and it hit the top 10 in many countries including the UK, Germany and Spain.

Golden Earring was founded in 1961 in The Hague. They achieved worldwide fame with hit songs "Radar Love" (1973), Twilight Zone (1982) and When the Lady Smiles (1984).
