Vinyl LP Features Star-Studded Guest Line-Up!

One of the greatest rock and rollers of all time, the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis releases Rock & Roll Time on Vanguard Records - his first for the label. Rock & Roll Time features a star-studded line-up of guests including Keith Richards, Robbie Robertson, Ron Wood, Neil Young, Shelby Lynne, Nils Lofgren, Daniel Lanois and more!

'Rock & Roll Time' was originally co-written and recorded by Kris Kristofferson in 1974. Lewis' rendition features guitarist Doyle Bramhall II and Jon Brion. Recorded at the House of Blues Studio in Memphis, this 11 song collection pulls from the vaults of Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Jimmy Reed.

"The emphasis is on greasy groove, an appropriate move considering the Killer's advanced age, but by placing feel first and foremost, it's possible to pay attention to how Lewis' vocal phrasing remains sly and supple. Nobody else can sing like Jerry Lee and it remains a pleasure to hear him sink his teeth into nearly any song, especially when he's supported by a team as sympathetic as he is here." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.com
