Kenny G is an American adult contemporary and smooth jazz saxophonist. He is the biggest-selling instrumental musician of the modern era, with global sales totaling more than 75 million albums. He has released many solo albums and collaborated with various artists including Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Houston, Peabo Bryson, Aaron Neville, Toni Braxton, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Natalie Cole, Steve Miller, Dudley Moore, Lee Ritenour, The Rippingtons, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Smokey Robinson, Bebel Gilberto, George Benson, Chante Moore and Aretha Franklin.

The first live album by saxophonist Kenny G was released in 1989, peaking at number 2 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and number 16 on the Billboard 200. This performance was recorded live at Humphrey's Concerts By the Bay in San Diego, California. The album includes one of his most popular recordings "Songbird" as well as "Don't Make Me Wait For Love."
