Green Book is a comedy drama directed by Peter Farrelly (There's Something About Mary, Fever Pitch). Based on the true story of Jamaican-American pianist Don Shirley (portrayed by Mahershala Ali) and bouncer Tony Lip (portrayed by Viggo Mortensen). Green Book follows the pair as they tour the Deep South in the 1960s with Lip as Shirley's driver and security. The pair forge a close friendship during the tour, navigating the deep racism of the region together.

The score for Green Book was composed by pianist and musical maverick Kris Bowers (Dear White People). A collaborator of everyone from Kanye West to A Tribe Called Quest, Bowers has crafted a beautiful score for Green Book thick with jazz-inspiration and moving piano compositions that have been called out as a highlight of the film. The soundtrack features many popular tracks from the late 1950s including works by The Blue Jays, The Blackwells, Bob Kelly, and of course, Don Shirley.

The film earned the Golden Globe in these categories:
