Maroon 5 rose from the ashes of Los Angeles-based rock outfit Kara's Flowers and struck gold with a new sound captured brilliantly on their 2002 full-length debut. Songs About Jane shot to #6 on the Billboard Top 200 by the end of 2004 thanks to international hit singles This Love and She Will Be Loved. The album soon went multi-platinum, eventually selling over 10 million copies worldwide. The second single from the record, This Love, won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance in 2006.
