Audiophile 180g Double LP!
Second Pressing, Now on "Stars So Bright" Splatter Burst Vinyl!
Mastered for Vinyl by Chris Bellman!

2001 Grammy Award Nominee:
• Best Rock Instrumental Performance: "First Tube"

Farmhouse is Phish's ninth full-length studio album, originally released in 2000. The majority of songs on the album, including the title track, were derived from 1997 writing sessions at Vermont farmhouses.

Farmhouse was recorded and mixed by John Siket in fall 1999 and winter 2000 at The Barn studio in Vermont. Trey Anastasio arranged the horns for "Gotta Jibboo" (Dave Grippo, Jen Hartswick, Andy Moroz) and strings for "Dirt" and the acoustic instrumental "The Inlaw Josie Wales", which included Béla Fleck on banjo and Jerry Douglas on dobro.

The single "Heavy Things" charted after being previewed live from Big Cypress on ABC's New Year's Eve 1999 millennium coverage. The instrumental "First Tube" was nominated for a Grammy, and the album went on to be certified Gold.

This 2xLP 180g Audiophile Color Second Pressing was mastered for vinyl by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Their rootsiest and most organic effort to date, Farmhouse is also their most fully developed — these are complete, concise songs and not simply outlines for extended jams, boasting a beauty and intimacy which expands the group's scope even as it serves notice of a newfound pop accessibility. It's a brave record, much less an exhibition of the band's vaunted instrumental prowess than it is a showcase for Trey Anastasio's increasingly skilled and far-reaching songwriting... in many ways it's closer to the band's true spirit of innovation than any record they've made.
