1996 Sophomore Album on Vinyl LP!

Formed in 1994, Skunk Anansie disbanded in 2001 before reforming in 2009. Their name is taken from the West African folk tales of Anansie the Spider Man. Their first two albums, Paranoid and Sunburnt & Stoosh, were released on OLI in 1995 and 1996 respectively, spawning a series of huge hit singles including "Weak" and "Charity" before the group signed to Virgin in 1998. They toured globally with Muse, Aerosmith and U2 amongst others throughout the '90s. After they split, Skin, Ace and Cass went on to solo careers whilst Richardson joined Feeder. In 2004, The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums announced they were one of the most successful UK chart acts between 1952 and 2003. Their fourth album Wonderlustre was released in September 2010.

Frontwoman Skin's vocals grab the listener by the scruff of the neck and demand attention. The rest of the band backs her with a frenzied, yet focused, sonic attack...for a good dose of aggressive, hard rock with better-than-average lyrics, Stoosh succeeds...
