180g Audiophile Vinyl Mastered by Friday Music's Joe Reagoso with Ron McMaster From Original Warner Bros. Master Tapes!
Don and Phil Everly are most certainly two of the most important figures ever in popular music history. Whether rock, pop, adult contemporary or country music, The Everly Brothers have consistently rose to the occasion with their successful harmonies, musicianship, and of course the knack to pick songs and write their own material which has made them legends in their own time.
Their legendary status has put them on world stages for over five decades and they have been honored and adored by both the fans and huge rock music icons like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Simon and Garfunkel.
When the Everly Brothers joined the Warner Bros. label in the late fifties, their marquee value was just beginning to skyrocket. A long term lucrative deal, unprecedented at the time, afforded the boys the real opportunity to churn out hit after hit in record time.
While making a successful string of albums and hit singles, their greatest hits LP, simply titled The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers, showcased their star power in 1962. Filled with a dozen of their biggest hits like Cathys Clown, Thats Old Fashioned, Crying In The Rain, Ebony Eyes and their classic interpretation of Little Richards Lucille, the album itself was another homerun for the duo. It rode the charts for months during its initial release and has been a consistent seller in various formats since the original album was discontinued decades ago...that is until now!
Friday Music is very honored to announce The Everly Brothers 180 Gram Audiophile Series with their greatest hits album The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers. This first time ever high grade audiophile vinyl release is mastered from the original Warner Bros. tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records with Ron McMaster. It also includes the brilliant album cover photography of Michael Levin and the all of the great songs you remember including other major Top 40 smashes like Dont Blame Me, Walk Right Back and the masterful ballad So Sad.
To keep your rock and roll investment in mint shape, Friday Music enclosed a vinyl lined album sleeve to protect the music and a poly bag for the album cover to enhance your listening for years to come.
