For the past 3 years, VPI has focused mainly on new/entry level audiophiles and getting them to embrace vinyl for the first time. With the Prime, VPI wanted to get back to their roots and focus on the existing audience with a table that offers quality hi-end sound at an affordable price.

JMW-10-3D-Reference Wire Tonearm
The original award winning VPI Unipivot design, with the cutting edge technology of 3D printing. The material is a proprietary epoxy resin which forms a rigid, lightweight, structure with good insulation properties. Epoxy is non-crystalline which impedes the transfer of vibration, so it's the perfect material for tone arms. The shape of the tone arm shaft also adds rigidity to the structure and further prevents the transmission of surface vibrations. The result is a low resonance lightweight tone arm.
The JMW 3D tonearm's most immediately obvious sonic characteristic was a smooth, non-resonant, exceptionally well-balanced tonal quality that makes it almost seem to disappear.
Unipivot, low friction design with adjustable side weights and drop counter weight for a low center of gravity. Lemo connection for easy swapping between arm wands.

Periphery Ring
The Periphery Ring is the perfect accessory/upgrade for listeners with warped records. The periphery ring will flatten your record making it easier for your cartridge to track and pull more information out of your listening experience. The ring will also help the shelf life of your cartridge by making it easier on the suspension as it tracks the grooves.
The Periphery Ring Clamp only fits on 12" platters.
VPI's Stainless Steel Outer Periphery Clamp was first introduced on the HR-X. This clamp centers on the platter, not the record, to provide vacuum-like clamping without the inherent problems in a vacuum system. The VPI Stainless Steel Outer Periphery Clamp is more effective than any other clamp!
