As an original member of the Steve Miller Band, most people have heard singer and pianist Ben Sidran without even realizing it. Now a solo act for more than 20 years, he has been called 'a slightly cooler, hipper Mose Allison.' Sidran's music is described in the French press as 'a marvel of swing, feeling and humour, a lesson in jazz; he reaches the essence of jazz and elevates swing to a state of grace.'

Mobile Fidelity is proud to include his latest effort, Mr. P's Shuffle, in the Ultradisc II series. Mr. P's Shuffle is a creative blend of original compositions and standards performed by Sidran and a group of long-time friends. Their versions of the classic songs Get Happy, Walk Right In, The Glory Of Love, and Sentimental Journey are swingin' romps with a modern, jazzy twist.
