Carnivore's 1987 Final Album on Limited Edition Light Green Double Vinyl LP!
Carnivore's second and final album, Retaliation, was originally released in September 1987. The album was included in Rock Hard magazine's "The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time." All music and lyrics were composed by Peter Steele (also frontman of Type O Negative), except for the track nine, which is a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression." The album was produced by Alex Perialias.
Hardcore thrash, New York style, it has a heavy punk influence and harsh lyrics about the world we live in, including some that still hold up today...Somewhat like a punker version of Slayer, this is their second (and best) album.
