Brad Fiedel's Soundtrack Re-Issued On Double LP!
One of the finest action movie soundtracks ever written, Brad Fiedel's iconic Terminator 2 soundtrack is reissued on vinyl to coincide with the rumored 3d/4K re-release of the film. The claustrophobic layering of electronic sounds and orchestral instruments create a tense sonic landscape which has become synonymous with the film's theme of the battle between man and machine.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a 1991 American science fiction action thriller film written, produced and directed by James Cameron. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick and Edward Furlong. It is the second installment of the Terminator franchise and the sequel to the 1984 film The Terminator.
Terminator 2 follows Sarah Connor (Hamilton) and her thirteen-year-old son John (Furlong) as they are pursued by a new, more advanced Terminator, the liquid metal, shape-shifting T-1000 (Patrick), sent back in time to kill John Connor and prevent him from becoming the leader of the human resistance. An older, less advanced Terminator (Schwarzenegger) is also sent back in time to protect John.
"Brad Fiedel's score for Terminator 2 expands on the largely synth-based sound of the original Terminator music with taut, percussive interludes and evocative, symphonic passages. Pieces like "Sarah's Dream," "Desert Suite," "Cameron's Inferno," and "T1000 Terminated" range from the spare to the claustrophobic, but all of them capture the post-apocalyptic tension of the film perfectly." -Heather Phares, allmusic.com
